International day against climate change:

Each one of us has heard about climate change at least ten times in our lives. A lot of people constantly remind us to recycle and not misuse water. But why is this so important? When the Industrial Revolution took place at the beginning of the 19th century, new technology started to develop. This brought us a great amount of development, but it also brought terrible consequences to the planet. Machines powered by carbon started the so-called global warming. At the same time this was happening all Europe was in a frenzy trying to split Africa like they wanted. As you can expect, this also brought atrocious results in the environment. Because of the hunting of animals, now they are in danger of extinction.
Now, almost 200 years later, the problems continue and have intensified. Global warming is on the brink of destroying much of the biodiversity. The pollution is also getting sick a big portion of the population. But do not get scared. We still have time to undo this. Scientists have given us ten years to stop worsening the environment and start taking action to help it. The future is in our hands. Because of all of this, the United Nations have decided to establish the date October 24th as the International Day Against Climate Change.
We do have the power to stop everything that is happening right now and is not hard. If we stop and look at our everyday lives, we can notice if something is environmentally sustainable or not. Think twice about showering for more than three minutes, about all the times we go out in a car when we could have walked. Eat everything you have on your plate, so the food is not wasted. Finally, be very careful when shopping, especially for clothes, because we usually buy things we do not need. Instead, fix what you can, and, if possible, buy sustainable replacements. A metal or glass, reusable bottle helps the planet in ways you cannot imagine. Not drinking coffee or using one-use plastic, can contribute a lot to the fight against climate change. What are you waiting for? Start being the change you wish to see.
