National Sweet Popcorn Day
National Sweet Popcorn Day or National Caramel Popcorn Day is a United States celebration held in April to enjoy these snacks and get sweet memories from childhood, fairs, and sporting events. Also, it is a perfect excuse for preparing this tasty food.
Did you know that the origin of these dates back to the early 1800s?
This all started when a German immigrant based in Chicago, Frederick Rueckheim, combined popcorn and molasses creating a sweet popcorn that was a total success. Lately, in the 1890s, the company Cracker Jack was founded, and they began with the production of this sweet product using caramel; this was even more successful than the original recipe.
Nowadays, people can enjoy preparing and tasting their sweet popcorn with a variety of recipes and toppings.
National Poetry Month
National Poetry Month is an American celebration launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996 to remind and create awareness to people of the importance of poetry and poets in our society. This is one of the largest literary celebrations that take place in the world, bringing schools, libraries, poets, booksellers, publishers among others into a massive ceremony.
Some activities done this month include writing poetry, voting for the best poet, reading a poem per day, and much more.

National High Five Day
National High Five Day is a celebration created in the U.S to make this action. The origins of the ‘High Five’ action are unknown, depending on who you ask, you would find the origin of ‘High Five’ in a baseball play in Los Angeles or Louisville during a basketball play. The sure thing is that every person knows this action.
Every third Saturday of April, the National High Five Day takes place, a day which is very common giving High Fives to anyone. Some ways of being part of this date are: teaching a dog or any pet to High Five or teaching a kid this funny action.
