Story written by: María José Velásquez 10B

I looked into the mirror and I didn’t see myself, in fact I saw nothing like the place I was in at all instead I was looking into the most breathtaking view I had ever seen in my life, mountains upon mountains covered by snow comprised a winter wonderland, I felt harsh winds in my face but the awe and wonder upon the view before me were keeping me warm. Suddenly I realized I wasn’t looking into the mirror anymore, I was there, I looked behind me and saw another of those great mountains so tall my eyes couldn’t quite make out the top, I smiled, it felt like a dream… but then I looked back at the view again. I was cold; long dark curls making the frame of a sharp jawline and eyes a blue so light they were almost white composed the face of the woman facing me, she was beautiful, and I was terrified of her, I couldn’t move. Slowly, she put herself against my ear, a voice but a whisper but it felt as if my eardrums would break, “What’s your name?”. I looked into the mirror and I didn’t see myself… who am I?
