Restaurants; more than food, an experience

We all know for a fact that we require to eat in order to survive. Nevertheless, eating has become much more than just a fundamental need; it evolved into an art. Nowadays, the art of cooking has spread all around the world, offering a great variety of dishes that differ in color, nationality, and flavor. Bogotá is a city that doesn't stay behind, giving us a diversity of restaurants to enjoy with our loved ones, so today I'm going to make a list of some of the many exceptional restaurants for you to try.
Sanamente: If you're looking for a healthy and delicious restaurant, Sanamente is the place for you. In here you can find all types of healthy dishes that vary in nationality and style. They have bowls, salads, pizzas, soup, wraps, desserts, and many more recipes that are perfect for any day. This restaurant has not only tasty and guilt-free meals, but also a great customer service. If you do decide to order food from this restaurant, I strongly recommend the Italian bowl with crispy chicken as the main dish and a brownie cookie as dessert.
Storia D’Amore: There are no words to describe how much I love this restaurant. It's not just the food they serve but the experience they give. Storia D'Amore is an Italian themed restaurant perfect to enjoy with your family and friends. They have delicious food and a great atmosphere filled with music, which makes it the perfect place for any occasion. Their menu has a great variety of dishes like pasta, risotto, soup, and salad. Besides these main dishes, you can also find different types of beverages and desserts to choose from. My personal favorites of Storia D'Amore are the risotto al Funghi, the salmon ravioli, or the pasta al Pomodoro, as main dishes. To drink I will strongly recommend the different Italian sodas and as a dessert gelato.
La Puerta de Alcalá: Moving on, through my favorite restaurants in Bogota we find La Puerta de Alcalá, a Spanish themed restaurant with delicious food. Located in Usaquen, La Puerta de Alcalá is one of the best restaurants I have ever tried. They have excellent customer service, numerous meals, and it's ideal for exclusive events. The best meal you can try in this restaurant is the Spanish Tapas, a set of different national recipes in small pans to share with your friends. Believe me when I say that this restaurant is astonishing, go and take a chance to enjoy the whole Spanish experience.
Jaques: Walking with my mom on a Saturday afternoon, we were lucky enough to find one of the most beautiful restaurants that we have ever seen, Jaques. This restaurant has a beautiful victorian-like facade that pops out from miles. The inside is as beautiful as the outside; it has elegant designs on the walls, comfortable yet classy chairs, chandleries, and paintings on the walls. Basically, Jaques is a little corner of Paris in the middle of Bogotá. The waiters are helpful, friendly, and efficient. They will always receive you with a smile and recommendations for the best meals in this establishment. The food they offer is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a small afternoon snack. For all the coffee lovers like me, I strongly recommend the house cappuccino. Believe me, it is one of the best coffees I have ever tried (and I have tried lots of coffees). To accompany this delicacy, I will recommend something from the pastry, especially the almond croissant. The only criticism I have of this place is that some of their products are overpriced. Nevertheless, I think this Parisian like experience is perfect to forget at least for a while all the stress of work.
El Chalet Suizo: To give an end to this gastronomical experience across Bogotá, we have El Chalet Suizo. This establishment, located in Usaquen, gives their customers an experience they will never forget. Though I have not tried many dishes from this place, the ones that I had, have been exquisite and remarkable. The service is pretty good, and its venue is perfect for spending a joyful time with your family. If you're looking for a distinctive experience with your loved ones, you should order any of the raclettes that the restaurant offers.
