What was the silliest thing you did as a kid ? How old were you? Tell us about it.

Magdalena Saenz:

Well if I am honest I was not that crazy when I was a kid, but I used to play soccer by myself at school. And sometimes when it rained I played outside, so when we were in our jumper, my shoes and in general all of my uniform was totally dirty.  But neither the teachers nor my parents scolded me. I think that was the silliest thing I did as a kid.

Noel Rodríguez:

To talk about childhood is to go back many years of my life, but to contextualize you a bit, I come from a very conservative town in Boyaca called Monguí. This town is very calm, it has beautiful landscapes, and you feel an incomparable peace when you are there. So, I lived my childhood in the countryside, very close to the river, in the middle of the trees. For me, my childhood was a beautiful moment of my life, and I think that one of the silliest things that I did was to enjoy playing with my little brother for hours; even if it rained or there was a lot of sun. Also I remember that I would rip and ruin a lot of my pants, in the knee area specifically, playing football.  Also, with my brother we escaped to the river and we spent a lot of time playing there, so after a while my mother worried that we weren’t home.

Ángela Mancipe:

Well, there are two moments that I remember very clearly. The first one was when my father played Atari, that was a kind of a playstation, so he sat down to play. One day I cut his hair, and left  him with a pretty funny hairstyle, it was actually my mom who realized what I had done. The other anecdote is that, since in my house we have always had a dog, when I was little I took all my brother’s colonies, shaving creams and things like that I applied them to my dog.

When I was eight years old, I used to play a lot with my cousin. So one day we were playing in an apartment on the fourth floor with our Ninja Turtles and a spoon that we used as a kind of blade. While we were playing, I accidentally dropped the spoon from the fourth floor to the first floor, where an old lady lived, and that's how bad luck was that the spoon felt directly in the lady’s head, and she was bleeding a little bit. I was so scared. My parents were a little angry and told me that I had to be more careful and that I had to apologize with the lady, and so I did, but I was very scary that day for me.

When I was 7 years old, I was in the school “La Presentación” in Zipaquira. This school was directed by nuns, and by the way, they all hated me because I was very undisciplined. In the school, there was a big tree very close to the school gates overlooking the street, and I decided to climb the tree and jump the school wall, in the middle of classes, so I left. I remember very well, I was in second grade, how my parents gave me money for my daily snacks and I died for the Bon Bon Bum, so I went to buy some Bon Bon Bums for myself and went for a walk around the town. Later on the day, I arrived home. I was almost kicked out of the school because of the nuns, but my mom cried and supplicated them to not do so, so they let me stay.

When I was 8 years old, one day when I was at school, in front of my desk was one of my classmates and her lunchbox. I decided to kick her lunchbox, like every two minutes, until I broke it. My father was SO angry with me because I broke the lunchbox, so we had to pay it back. At that time, I was really mean and misbehaved, but yes, I think that was one of the silliest things I did as a kid.

Lara González:

I was not very silly as a kid, but once when I was with my brother playing on the beach, I took a jellyfish/agua mala and I put it into my brother's pants. I was like 6 years old, and I was very mean with him. He was so scared, and later on I felt terrible. I think that was the only thing really silly that I did.

More or less when I was 6 years old I had a huge fight with my parents, and my grandmother lived in the group of houses next door. I was so mad and insubordinated that I packed some of my clothes in a backpack and I left my house without telling anyone; I arrived at my grandma's house and stayed there for a week.  Of course as I was so little I started to miss my mom a lot, so when I went back home my father scolded me. But then everything was okay.

We wanted to go for a ride with my friends from school, so we met on a Saturday supposedly to exercise, but we said it was cool to do something different, so we only had about 10 thousand pesos, and with that we hired a car to take us to “La Vega”. We didn’t have permission from our parents and we were like 14 years old. Then we found a river, and played there for the day, we had for lunch some rosquitas and then we headed back and we arrived at 7 o’clock and no one ever found out. But that wasn’t all, I did it again, 15 days later with some other friends, it was fun and cool. Obviously, later on I realized the dangers of the situation.
