Colombian Conspiracy Theories

We have all heard about conspiracy theories; maybe you have read about the Mandela effect, or about how fake the moon landing is, among others. Most of them, at least for me, make me curious and, sometimes, gives me a good laugh. So today, I am going to show you some Colombian conspiracy theories.
First, in the 1940s, a military group called F2 was created. They were supposed to be a type of secret police until 1995 when they were replaced by the Directorate of Police Intelligence. The interesting thing about it, or maybe just one, is that they have been linked to cases of forced disappearance, 'social cleansing', associations with paramilitaries, and drug traffickers, among others. This may not be even surprising, since in our country, daily, there is an immense number of murders and massacres; however, I still think it is pretty messed up all that they did, after all, they had a kind of dungeons, where they tortured the people who were captured, or in some cases, who were sent to be captured by other individuals that probably had power and money.
Second, it is said that there was a cannibal restaurant in Bogotá. To me, that sounds crazy, and I only thought this type of place happened in movies or really sketchy parts of the world, but now I think to reconsider that. So, this place was called “L’Angolo de Gigi” and was located in La Calera. Also, it was founded by a man called Gigi, a stealthy-looking Italian, who became one of the city's most renowned chefs. As time passed by, the restaurant became pretty famous for its meat plates, and many politicians, actors, and the most recognized figures of the time started going there to try all of the “wonders”. Nevertheless, some strange things were going on in that facility. For example, no one knew where the meat that was given to consumers came from, and many people close to Gigi said that he was quite secretive about his recipes and where they came from (he always said the products came from his sister, in Italy, but when Benedetta Ferruzzo, his sister, was consulted, she said she was a vegetarian, so it would be absurd to think that she could supply the meat for the restaurant). Years later and after several rumors that the meat sold by Gigi was human, the restaurant closed and the Italian disappeared. Investigations tell that several bodies from La Toma del Palacio de Justicia and the F2 services ended up in the refrigerators of the place and then in the stomachs of several citizens.
In conclusion, the whole world is full of conspiracy theories and urban legends. I don't know which ones are to be believed or not, and that is up to you as a reader to decide. However, I could read about this stuff all day long, wondering what else we don't know that has happened right under our noses.
